I guess im lookin at the 3 inch pulleys...I could order a 2.8inch sepreate and get upgarded ****...but w/e....
Whats the best dyno done with a 3inch? Intake and exhaust, maybe headers on? But thena gain brings up the point...if over 270some whp...the injectors cant take it...

That is 110% wrong. The computer bleeds boost off at 6k until RL which causes you to loose power. If you do the boost bypass it will hold the boost and give you about an extra 10hp. This is dyno, track and street proven.

There was one guy who did it on a stock ss and dynoed it. He said he did not gain any hp. There was even one guy saying his car was actually slower after he did it with the stock pulley.

I will try it this week though and tell you if I feel/notice anything.

I'll try to find the thread that said there was no gain.

I'm going to do it right now...I have one question though. When you plug the hole on the hose, is there anything else you have to plug? Like anything on the acutator where you took the hose off?

I think you just plug the hose, and leave the actuator open...

All you need are plugs. Thats the setup im running right now. I got a set of NGKBKR7E's gapped at .045. Runs like a champ with no knock at all. Boost bypass too

It looks like the same one.
However If that way doesn't work for you, I would plug the nipple that is open to the air. Just cut off a little piece of vaccum line and plug it with another screw and see what happens. In no way is this dangerous for the car so dont worry about harming anything.

thanks, yea I am most likely going to do that, but I see that there are manual boost controllers on ebay for our cars.. would that me a more better way you think to do it since you can controll how much boost you want going through, rather than having all of it.. its like $40 for it.... http://cgi.ebay.com/MANUAL-BOOST-CON...QQcmdZViewItem

For a 2.8" pulley or bigger you can use this or plug the line. For smaller pullies, the boost controller is nice to turn down the boost but you will still spin the blower at the same RPM as you would if you had the boost not turned down.

Ok what I did was cap the line from the acutator to the solenoid. I put a rubber piece of hose around the acutator but it has a hole at then end so I don't know if that's bad or not.

The verdict:

I think I feel some power. It might be in my head though. I still get the same boost, 12.5 to redline. So who knows. I will be leaving it though for when I install my 3 inch pulley sometime this week.

you will always overspin your blower regardless of what boost controller you get. The m62 is an Eaton Roots Positive Displacement Blower. It will always spin the same amount, the boost controller just decides how much of the boost it makes will actually enter your cylinders.

Good call chief, I am wrong on my previous statement. Not enough sleep caught up with me.

This is kinda off topic but here I go anyway:

What kind of whp would I make (estimated) on a dynojet with these mods:
K&N CAI, Magnaflow Catback Exhaust, TOG header, and 3 inch pulley?

Maybe 250 whp ish?

IMO the ZZP Performance 3" Pulley is the way too go! I installed it on my car with the 1 step colder plugs and the car runs awesome 15psi and alot more power. Can't wait till Stage 1 comes..........
