Opinions on LSJ build...?

So a while back i was just leaving the vet when my car blew a spark plug out of the head. I was stuck 3 hours from home at my girlfriends house so i had a Helicoil put it. And well now it blew out again so im just going to replace the head but i figured since im spending the money to get it fix i might as well build it up a little bit.

So i made this thread thats open to suggestions, comments and opinions on what i should do while i have the motor apart. I also was wondering if i brought my core head into zzp to port it, do they re thread the holes for the spark plugs or will i have to get a whole new head?

Ill take anything that will help me out! Thanks!

If your not going crazy with the car in the future, then maybe consider ported head, valve springs arp timing guide bolts, new chain and some simple drop in cams for a nice bump in power with little to minimal work.

Don't wanna sleeve the engine while it's in the car unless you're just going to put stock **** back in it

there is no way to tell you how much you will pick up from a set of cams to many variables

So i wanted to update everybody on what's going on. And I also have a question.

So i had to hold back on a few parta due to unexpected expenses(DD problems). So what i got now is just a ported head from lsjion, ARP head studs and a 3.0 pulley.

I just recently put my timing chain back in and im really hesitant to just start it up. Is there a way to know before i start it up if i timed it right? Could i turn the motor manually?

And also, is there a link to how to do the inner timing chain?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Are the links lined up?

Also, why a 3.0" pulley?
What size injectors are you running?

Yea the links are lined up. Im just more concerned about the inner chain. and i got a 3.0" because i didnt really want to go any lower w/o cooling mods. and to be honest about the injecters. i dont remember.

Find out. Because if they OEM you probably will not have enough fuel. I was on the OEM 42's with a 3.06" GM pulley and running a 127% duty cycle and that was on a stock head.
Get some 60's.

Do you have HP tuners?
Download your file and open the fuel injector table to see what they are.

Definitely find out. How long ago was it? They sound like Ford injectors, or maybe the old ZZP 50's.
