Option B air bleed restrictor

Hey guys, just installed my dual pass and option b but i am having problems with the air bleed line from the heat exchanger to the reservoir. I know that the kit call for a .040" fitting but all that i could find around here was .070" and the air bleed line is shooting coolant like a squirt gun into the reservoir. I have the .070" restrictor pressed in the hose immediately after the fitting on the heat exchanger but not pressed into the fitting.

So my question is will the .030" difference of the .040 stop the coolant from shooting out or do i have the fitting in the line incorrectly?
