Ordering tomorrow! Question on an option though

Long time lurker, first time poster.
Finally decided on Saturday to take the plunge, test drive an HHR SS and that night decided it was time to order the Cobalt on Monday. Gonna definitely get a Silver with LSD. Was wondering if anyone is planning on getting the 6 disc CD changer or not though. At first glance, i thought definitely not, since you have XM, MP3 CD, and ipod jack. But after discussing it with some friends, its less then 300 for the option. Anyone think it is worth it? And if so, mind telling me your reasoning? Thanks!

i love having my 6 disc changer! Definately worth the option. You can have a bunch of mp3 cds in there and then you dont have to have an ipod hanging off the front.

Put that extra 300.00 in YOUR pocket. You get the same product, just not the quantity. You can't listen to but 1 at a time. Is it worth 300.00 to have a dash storage instead of a console storage?

I went ahead and got the 6-disc, i kinda wish i didn't because i also ordered a PAL (personal audio system) through the dealership. You plug your ipod in and toss it in the glovebox. You control the ipod from the steering wheel controls. The pal cost a little over $150.

Save the extra $300 and put it towards something else like gas, dyno, mods, tint, etc.

I agree not worth it you can fit anywhere between 100-200 songs on an MP3 disk and who doesn't have and ipod or MP3 player lol. Plus more **** to go wrong. In the last 3 gm vehicles my family has had thwey all had the single disk one and it would always stick anyways. let alone having 6 disk in there! Plus XM!

NOT WORTH IT!

We're going to try. We have a in house dyno and are going to be getting a new in house cnc machine as well so we can make products, install them on the car, and strap it to the dyno to get results.

its gonna be on the one I have a deposit down on, if nothing else I can burn all my mp3s on 6 cds and keep them all loaded so I don't have to worry about charging my mp3 player

Good luck man.
If you guys come out with some good parts (intercooler, turbo, and dp. plus tuning) I'll def. fly down there and wait for ever to get these swapped. I'll dyno all day to get it right.

Florida is not a bad place to hang out while your making your car faster =)
