People with widebands...

When you are cruising around or idling whats your display say? I have the AEM UEGO and while cruising or idleing the "needle" and display bounce anywhere from 14.5-16.0
Is this normal? When I go WOT though its easy to read and doesn't bounce at all and steadily lowers down to just about 10 flat lol...I know I know I'm gonna get that taken care of very shortly

Yes a bung has to be welded into the downpipe (before the cat) and one is supplied with the UEGO

I was wondering the same thing at idle my sits around 15.3 bouncing around. So I am too nervous to take it out until I can get a tune done. The only thing I have done is add a dp and ported the blower, and before that I was running pig rich, I know you need to tune after porting the blower.... but I didnt think I would be that off......

install it anywhere from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock....
it might be easier to remove it although it can be done while on the car too

mines installed at like the 4 oclock position and he didn't take it out to do it. Also that's looking at it from under the hood.

May I ask whats wrong with the bottom? Just asking because thats how the mechanic did it. Hell he's been around here for a long time so I assumed he'd know how to install a o2 sensor.

water condensates at the lowest point....meaning, your sensor is more apt to getting water on it the lower it is. Believe it or not, the exhaust contains water, not a lot, but enough to skew sensitive parts like a O2 sensor.

Oh ok, well like I've said before during WOT it's really accurate and steady. It's just when I'm idling and cruising is when it bounces around and even after it's warmed up it still does it. I was following behind a eclipse with the same gauge and his was doing the same thing while we was stopped at the light.

I just installed mine recently and this is what it reads. Steady driving (55ish) it reads between 14-16. When gassing it, it reads around 11.3-13.5. When starting the car it reads 13.3 then jumps to 15 once the car warms up. At idle mine is everywhere as well. I can tell it follows the car really well, between high and low idling it shifts acordingly. So yours sounds right, I asked the same thing when i installed mine .

The bouncing you see at idle and cruising are normal. That is the way stock computer is set and it saves fuel at low load and steady rpms. Such as highways cruising. Nothing to worry about. The change in start up air to fuel is due to the warm up procedure.

in my c-a catless downpipe there is a thread in it for the factory o2 sensor. the uego has no thread? we just put it in that hole and weld it? btw my rear o2 is disabled so it will be alright to just take the factory one out.

take a look at my dyno sheet (theres a link in my sig, click my whp and wtq numbers)
Alot of people have told me that this is a really good AFR to have (i must be lucky or something)
WOT @ 6000+ I got down to 11's and I think thats where you are supposed to be

that looks to be 11.5-11.7 Somewhere around there. I'm by no means an expert but I'd be really happy with the A/F ratio also.
