Porting ls4 tb

ok so i know people remove the back lip to better air flow just wondering if anyones ported the tb and if so how hard did they port and pics of what it looks like

When you say port the tb what part is it exactly are you porting....? The actual opening?

I just got rid of the ridges and smoothed it out. That's all.

sounds good thats what i was thinking but i wanted to know if it could be ported hard like the lsj stocker

Why LS4 at all? The LSJ TB isn't maxed... I drove the LS4 (with grinded off ridge and light porting) for over a year and just switched back to a lightly ported LSJ TB a little while ago. Much better and smoother.

you could hog it out some more, but remember, you need to match an intake and match the inlet of the supercharger to whatever size your TB is, or it's pointless.

I just grinded off any ridges, and then ported the inlet of the supercharger to match it. Mine drives perfectly smooth and has a really strong low end. I also have a custom 3" intake.

seems like u would need a 3.5" intake or it would still be pointless

yea, if you hog the ls4 throttle body out, you would need an intake larger than a 3". I didn't port the inlet of mine past 3". I just got rid of the ridges.
