Possible causes for bad mileage?
I'm getting about 200 miles per tank.. And when I fill up I still have about 1 and 1/2 gallons left so really i could get about 235 miles per tank.
What are some of the things I can check and how. Clogged cat? o2 Sensor? How would I know?
Or would it make the most sense to take to GM and get it warrantied. (I did search, but i'm asking more along the lines of: if you say clogged cat, how can i tell for sure? etc..
stage 2.. k&n, gmpp catback as far as mods

oh i forgot some details
I used to get almost 300 miles... then I got stage 2, and since then it's down to like i said about 220. it just seemed like more of a drop than should've happened. and that 220 is my driving like a grandma to see how much i could squeeze out.
but i'll change the fuel filter and get an alignment and my stut warrantied and then see how it is.

My gas mileage was getting pretty bad and the dealership changed my fuel filter. That seemed to work. There is so many variables with the mileage you get like everyone has been saying

Sounds like your car is being fooled into just dumping too much fuel. I Don't think Ive ever only gotten 200 miles, even with hot rodding it.
Also, with new mods...your pcm needs to learn. Took mine a good 2-3 tanks to relearn for my exahust...my mpg dropped to maybe 21-22 for a little, pissed me off. Now its back to 26-27.

I know, its pretty good on fuel !! When the weather gets alittle colder it will climb up to around 8.4-9.5L /100km depending on my driving style that tank of gas. But by cold i mean like into the minus temps ( -10 or so ) . With the warmer weather like lately +15 or so, i'm seeing around 7.8-8.0 L / 100km. Whats even funnier is my air filter has been on sense the car had 2500km on it ( 2 and a half yrs ago) , and i still haven't changed the stock spark plugs. The fuel filter was changed at the dealer 2 months ago though.

the mods will only hurt your mileage if you have a heavy right foot. mine went up considerably as i put mods on. header, downpipe, exhaust, intake, 2.9" and i can get about 35 on the highway driving normal. i'm sure i could get more if i really tried, but i don't have the patience to really try
how many miles are on the car? check all the basics first. tires, like stated, make sure you're doing your oil changes, depending on your mileage check the fuel filter, and even the air filter. but most importantly look at your driving habits. during different driving conditions, reset your mpg meter and see what it does. under half throttle, you're getting bad gas mileage. wot, forget about it, probably single digits. when you're stopped, you're getting ZERO mpg. simple changes like slowing down earlier and a stop sign or red light will make a big difference. coasting gets good gas mileage, while being stopped is the worst.
