wow... i thought that was in canadian dollars at first.

i got quoted for $750 after talking with a dealership in fort collins for quite some time. really cool dealer and they decided they would cut me a deal if i went for it because i talked to them for so long (aka hanging out in the parts shop for a while talking about cars)

I ordered my stage 2 for $577 from this site

http://www.trademotion.com/splash/in...?siteid=214152

All the dealerships I talked to wanted $750 just to order one. I am not sure how much it is going to cost to install it.

Don't order straight from the dealership because they are not going to give you the best price. Order it yourself then take it up there to have it installed.

I don't see why they charge extra to do the reflash... the ECU flash is part of the kit... shees.

Your right and I bitched until I am blue in the face, but the bottom line is that we did pay for the new cal, but the argument that the dealers make is that there is labor involved in installing the cal.. Truth is it takes about 30 mins for the tech that knows what he is doing to flash the cal.. If it is their first time, probably an hour, case they have to call GM for authorization and to get the cal released to your VIN. Sounds stupid, but it is true.

You know that if you ask the parts guys to check the part # it has the install time for stage 2. And its 1.5 hrs. So regardless how long it takes they should charge you for 1.5 hr of labor. I had mine installed last week and it took the guy 2.5 hrs to install and they charged me for 1.5hrs. Of course each dealers hourly rate is different.
