Problem/Question regarding PCM and new injectors.
I am going to have to install #60 injectors from my stock ones because I am installing a ZZP Stage 3 Kit but I realized I don't have the PCM tuned to the #60 injectors meaning when it comes time to drain the fuel out of the fuel lines I will be running on stock injectors. It would be easier for me if I could install everything the Stage 3 includes and wait until the end to replace the injectors. The PCM would be programmed for the Stage 3 but not the injectors. My question is if I can just empty the fuel lines with the engine running with the stock injectors while programmed for #60. Once the lines are empty I will put the new injectors in. I would be in a pickle if I had to send my PCM away again to get it flashed for stock injectors and then send it back again for the Stage 3 tune.
Thanks.
Thanks.

on the zzp sc install kit it just said to take out the fuel pump fuse and try starting the car about 3 times. It started once on me turned off and tried starting 2 more times. That should release the fuel that is in the fuel lines. There will be some when you pull off the injectors and the bar thing so have a rag ready to catch it

Do I have to clear the lines? Because I'm fine with a little mess as long as its safe. I know gas evaporates relatively fast so if I were to just go ahead and do it with gas in the lines would I be able to catch it in like a can or something and wipe up any excess? I hope you say yes haha.

i think they are pressurized or something like that so it might be a little more than just a mild clean up lol. I'm not too sure about this stuff though so don't quote me on anything haha

Haha ok, I just emailed ZZP customer service, maybe they will know what to do. I really appreciate the advice though. If they don't respond to me I might just go ahead and run the car to drain it anyway.

You would probably be ok to reinstall the newly tuned PCM, pull fuel pump fuse and try to start it to to let all the fuel out of the lines. Yes you will be running a bit lean because your injectors will be smaller than what the PCM thinks you have but you should be safe as long as you just let it idle.
If you are worried about it you can just cover the schrader valve(looks like a bike tire valve) on the fuel rail with a rag and relieve the pressure by pushing in the pin with a small screw driver. Make sure it's covered and keep your face away from it because gas in your eye at 60psi will be rather unpleasant and cause you to say all sorts of bad words

Maybe I just need more sleep but I couldn't figure out wth you were talking about but I think Ive got it now. Your PCM has already been flashed for 60's by zzp but you haven't installed the stge 3 kit or relieved the fuel pressure yet.
