Pulse Plugs

I was reading an article in a magazine called 'D-Sport' the other day about pulse plugs and how they are MUCH better than the average spark plugs.

Here is the article:

http://www.dragsport.com/issue/2008/0308_tech.shtml

Is this me just being late and not realizing there have been around awhile, or is this a newer thing?

More importantly, would they be things to consider for the LSJ?

^^Yes, very expensive and I do believe another member on this site received a reply email stating that they are barely safe for a stock LSJ so if you have turned up the boost dont even think about it

Could you elaborate? Are they just that powerful? or would we need to beef up internals just to put these in?

I'm pretty sure that its because they dont have the propper heat range available

That makes sense. If they did do you think it would be a worthy mod?

Same concept as the Nology HotWires which I have installed on my 2.2L. I bought my conversion kit at a blowout cost and then modified the install. I love it; better mileage. I bought my kit (coil, bracket and wires) for $130 (orginal retail was about $300). I tried the Silverstone plugs but my car didn't drive so well with them so I pulled them out and replaced them with Bosch+2 plugs; I love the set-up.

To have this setup by just changing the plugs is much easier, and still no need for wires (keep your coil on plug)!!

If you are willing to spend the money and the propper heat range is available then perhaps it wouldnt hurt, my logic tells me that the plug design would enable us to use a larger gap via the extra voltage and the less resistance..the misfires are claimed to be virtually eliminated. misfires occurr during a decrease in voltage preventing the charge from jumping towards the plug tip..Its possible to create a larger spark with a bigger gap using these plugs without having to worry about blowout, thus increasing power..I, myself wouldnt spend the money, but anyone willing should see a benefit
