Unhappy Rain (or fog) = high KR?

Alright so I tried reading about this but I can't really nail my problem. I'm asking since I'm sure I'm not the only who is experiencing this.

Most of the time when it rains (or fog like yesterday), I can't go WOT at all. I don't care about that since I would get zero traction anyhow. But it bothers me that the next day, I can't do it either. When I floor it, around 4-6k (it depends of the time), it accelerates slower that usual and it feels like I hit the redline. I checked for the first time my knock retard of my interceptor today and I saw 24...which I know is really bad What could cause this? Usually the problem goes away after a day or two...

Mods are in my signature. I thought it was a water in my Injen CAI before and I installed a hydro-shield to fix it but it didn't help... today its 21 C outside, or 70 F for my southern friends

That's what I thought too...is there any magical solution for that? Should I buy MAF sencor cleaner or something? Tape the surroundings of the headlight above the intake?

And thanks for the cat suggestion. I bought the high flow cat thinking of maybe helping this problem too...

Ahh I see. Never got any code thought...what did you do to fix it? Still have a ZZP canned tuned, waiting on a couple of more parts to ask James to tune it.

When there is humidity/ rain/ any liquid and you can hit it, itll Skew the maf so bad it will cause fuel trims to go wacky. And whwn i say wacky I mean 20-/20+% . So therefore kr willl occurred, not only from misfire but from the trims.

And is that dangerous for the car? I'm sure it cant be good... And what are people doing to prevent that? I can't be the only one

It's probably not the headlights, if you look at your fog light it has holes around it. That is where your water is coming in. I custom fabricated out of sheet metal a plate that would go over top of intake about 2 to 3 inches from top of filter to stop any water from splashing directly on the filter.

^Nice! I'll be installing HIDs next week so hopefully I'll think of something for the fog lights. Thanks!
