traction loss? and people are pushing more than this on stock axles... i suggest you look into the many many mount options available for pretty cheap... not only that, but even upgraded axles aren't TOO terribly much. you = ftl

I don't get the benefit myself. My AI2 temps are only hitting 146 max right now with the stock supercharger. I'm hitting 17psi, which is a little high for the eaton; however, still hit 260/240@6k. 280/260@7 the difference would have been minimal in power. Just as much, I don't have full exhaust either. So, we are looking at 3.5k for 15-20whp? We can completely rebuild the stock supercharger 4 times for that price.
What makes it worth the price I’m just curious to understand others reasoning here. Just as much the ported race head will give 40-60hp gains for the same price. I’m not saying it isn’t worth it. I’m just trying to understand.

? i was running a 75 shot + meth + injectors and a 2.8. + 109 octane <or xlene/toulene mix << i didnt want to pull timing cuz of the big shot, hence the high octane> u=FTL fool.

no I was definitely not thinking that. a blower is a blower. you want power? turbo it.
I have a friend who has done similar power output on a mustang dyno with 2.8 and water meth. cheaper.

I don't know...With the right charger and tuning done as well as good supporting mods, the chargers should put down some very nice numbers. I also love the sound of a BOV, as well as the potential, but I do kinda like the idea of the Cobalt SS/SC, staying an SS/SC but with a more efficient blower and much better numbers.
But then again, I like to be different, and just about everyone out my way has a damn STi, or EVO, or something with a turbo. lol..

Don't get me wrong boys. I LOVE the idea of a twin screw IRL but...
1. The blower is too small. Should have used a 1.6L
2. Price is too expensive. 500 dollars more gets me a Turbo kit.
Kit should have been 2500 dollars or less. Whipple charges 3300 for a 2.3L Supercharger upgrade on the cobra yet they want 3000-3500 for a 1.2L whipple .
Max out the eaton, Add a ported head and there's 300whp and you'll have 2500 dollars left over. I knew the 1.2L whipple whould yield shitty results.

all custom parts on this kit so it cost them a little more since they are not a huge company like whipple, they have to try to make some money thats how companies survive

How many people do you actually think can afford these kits? 3? 5? They won't sell more then 5. Quote me.

excellent points everyone looks and thinks its not that impressive but no one realizes this car only had a ijen intake beofer and thats all and thats the power they picked up after the install
#244
power costs money ok. dont bitch about the price, its another option out there. 3500 is actually nice considering your gonna be getting damn near 90whp and 90wtq increase, and the power curve will be insane. hp costs money no mater which way u wanna go. some people who like the supercharger sound and drivability will stay w/ a supercharger and shell out 3500 bucks for this kit. if i had the money i would. sure the 1.6L would have been nicer but i'm sure theres a reason they didnt go that route.

Why do some of you guys put negative comments toward these people other vendors are gunna see that **** and wanna leave and then we will be fucked over so if you dont have anything reasonable to say then dont say it and btw i am interested in the twinscrew how many fwd cars have them and 3500 aint a bad price specaily if they have it set up where it wont hurt our internals

if i wanted to go all out drag car then yess i'd go with a turbo but i dont, i want something that will be easily drivable, and have power when ever i want it and not need to wait for it to spool up or freakin turbo lag.
you my friend should stop bashing a company for making another product. your going to spend 4 g's on a turbo kit right? thats nice great for you. but you'll be making another 30whp at most at same psi level then this unit. and i can garauntee the tq curve of this unit will hand you your ass from a stop light.
