If you are referring to the stage I/stage II reflash:

You get an ID number that is matched to your VIN. The GM tech calls for the reflash, and gives them the ID. Then GM sends the reflash to them, and they hit your ECU with it.

This prevents anyone from getting the reflash who hasn't purchased a GM staged kit.

Oh damn... I have a pulley and will be getting injectors soon. I was going to ask if there was a way to get just the reflash and from where. But I guess not, huh?

Hold off on putting the injectors in until aftermarket breaks into the ecu.

It's almost $500 tho for Stage 1; I can get injectors/connectors for less than $200 w/o labor. Is the reflash really worth an extra $300?

SRT stage1 is just a computer for 04-05. And the retail on that is $400. Most get it for about 300-340. Is it worth it? Hell yes it is. More SRT's running around with Stage1 and other boltons than any other stage.
