Resetting Oil timer?

So i changed my oil yesterday and i don't know how to change the light to say "oil life 100%" I did a search and someone said go the the preferences...what is that? i just pressed that arrow button and that didn't reset it? If someone could let me know that would be great.

Hit both buttons at once

It should go into a setup screen

The first option should say "oil life reset"

Hold the arrow button (reset) until it says oil confirmed

also, i'm not 100% on this, but i think it won't work if the car is actually on... if it's on, i think it will only let you change english-metric... i think the engine has to be off, but the key turned... then you can do it... again, could be wrong, but that's how i always do it...

Mobil 1 is the way to go

My old mobil 1 oil came out pitch black, I put it all in empty 2 liter coke bottles, and it looks like real soda, lol. I think I could prank someone with these bottles

haha, that's messed up... but i don't think anyone would be stupid enough to actually drink it... but, ya never know...

on a side note, i have a cousin who's a little "touched", and he loves his rc cola, but not a fan of pepsi or coke... so we took a bottle of pepsi, put the rc cola label on it, and laughed our asses off... he knew right away though... was still funny...

If you're moving, it won't let you change anything except the "english metric" part.

I found that out the hard way, coming home from an oil change, trying to reset the thing, and it only working occassionally. (i.e. when I was at a stoplight)
