return fuel system
#3
A return fuel system provides a return path from the fuel rail / regulator back to the fuel tank.
The benefits are that you can adjust base fuel pressure to allow more range with your fuel injectors, you can have the regulator referenced to manifold pressure - this will ensure that fuel is being injected at base fuel pressure in reference to manifold pressure. (base pressure = 50psi, manifold pressure = 15psi, Therefore - fuel will be injected at 65psi - same goes when you are operating in negative pressure). Tuning wise, this allows you to flatline your IFR curve and eliminate alot of the "gray" area in fuel tuning.
