FAST06SS how is the Stage 2+ workin out for you? I need to replace my clutch because with my current setup it slips and I just ordered GM Stage 1 with a SFPHQ 2.8 pulley so it will never hold.

Clutch is working great so far, i've purposely have beaten on it , did the same things that caused the stock one to smoke!, still works perfect!!!!! (slipping it is not the issue, it's flooring it when it's in to high of gear at to low of a speed, aka HEAVYLOAD that kills them)
Big test though this saturday as i'm going to the track with dr's

Sorry but low speed high gears does not kill clutches. Wear and glazing do. A clutch actually gets stronger as it wears then it gets weaker...looks like an upside down U. I used to work in R&D for a OEM clutch supplier. Clutchmaster and centerforce came to use for aftermarket as well.

Just a little FYI, have video for proof, i was rolling 15-20mph in 2nd gear, punched it, car hit the rev limiter and barely moved. My foot was no where near the clutch. It smoked so bad that my car stunk fo 3days! Next time it occured was at 45,ph, 3rd gear. I floored it, same thing, kit the revlimiter and went no where! If i nailed it at higher rpms/speeds, it would throw you back in the seat from the power! To me, that is a lack of clamping pressure!?

Yeah I worded it a little wrong. Rpm has nothing to do with a clutch slipping unless the clutch is deforming at high rpm. You just had more torque than what the clutch/pressure plate was rated for and/or the disc was glazed reducing the coefficient of friction between the pads and the flywheel/PP. Arent those speeds like 3k to 4k rpm...that is the heart of our torque range or is passing thru it...that would be why it slipped.

What rmp can you now launch at?
How do you like the stage 2? I think I'm going with the stage 3 instead of 2 still waiting on an install date from my shop.
