Road racing boost problem

Has anyone else put their SS/SC on a road course and after about 5 laps had the boost drop to about 2 psi with no DTC or mil . This happened to me at Hallett racing circut every time I went out. I could pull into the hot pits turn off the eng restart it and smoke the tires while going back on track but less than a lap latter it would pull all my boost. The engine never went over 207 and my scan tool showed nothing obvious in the O2 or cat . I am not to concerened, as I won't do this very often and I have never had this problem on the street and I like to here the screem as much as anybody. Just curious if bumping 12psi for a long time causes the OEM burn to pull the boost out?

What's your IAT2's? If they get to hot it will pull boost.

Yeah ^ that.. It'll go into boost unload at something like 210*F IAT2. If your I/C system is not top notch it get hot like a **** that many WFO's in a short period..

Coolant temp does not associate with I/C temps but at 207 engine temp your working the car.

Was just there in Sept..

Yeah definitely sounds like your IAT2 temps are skyrocketing. Time for some cooling mods!

Never had a problem with mine on the road course, but I concur with the IAT2 theory.

No IAT 2

My cheap A-- Actron Scan tool dosn't show a 2nd IAT sensor is that normal? Do I need to get HP tuner to see this? I have a 2006 SS/SC.

IC pump is gone, 100% positive.

Start the car and make sure your coolant is flowing..just in case.

Hpt and interceptor gauges display iat2's. And it sounds like u need cooling mods. Dual pass and a secondary h/e will def help you out.
