RPM's drop slooowwww

ive noticed that when you rev the engine, the rpms dont drop very quickly.....to me this means the exhaust cant get out quick enough....whats your guy's take?

the only mod i have is the airbox mod....

nope what you have is not the air getting out quick enough. its the way GM makes them. if im not mistaken HPtuners will take care of that

that's just the way the cars are designed... it helps keep emissions down... if the RPMs drop slowly the emissions system has time to burn off all the pollutants being produced... getting a lighter flywheel will help some.

It does the exact same thing eve with all of my mods which are listed in my signature. He is right about the emissions thing though.

mine is the same way, when i rev to anything past 3.5k, it will drop slow then at about 1,200, 1,400 rpm it will hesitate jump up a little then go back down. is that normal?

If you pull out your emissions fuse it will help a LITTLE bit

thats the one thing i miss about my 87 mustang gt.....it sounded like a stock car, and the rpm's dropped instantly....i just figured it dropped that fast because i had a full exhaust system on it.
