I ran a 3" pulley on stock tune and belt. You really only need the stage 2 belt for smaller than a 3".

It's always preferred to re-tune, but you can run a large pulley like that on stock stuff.

You will run out of fuel on the stock injectors anyway, tuned or not. They are just about maxed on a stock car.

You are wasting your time using such a big pulley anyway.

Just put a 3" on it now, and then next thing you do should be injectors/tune. GM Stage 1 or equivalent.

I am with italianjoe. We both know each other did similiar things at different times. I went to a gm stg 2 pulley aka 3.1 on the stock tune and injectors. on the stg 2 tune and injectors I dropped to a 2.8

yes the injectors are more than maxed but the gm tune runs rich so u are somewhat safe.

I and joe(no longer an lsj owner) both drive them very hard. I redline my car in 1st everytime I drive it more than I care to count.

i dont disagree that you can do a pulley without a tune. i just honestly have to say, why would you do that to your car?
