Thumbs up SFPH now has the NGK BKR7E Copper Tipped Sparkplugs!

Like the title mentions, we now have the NGK BKR7E Copper Tipped Sparkplugs, that are required with running a DUB 3.25" Pulley Unit, or smaller Supercharger Pulley. These have to be gapped at exactly .035 for maximum performance, with the use of 3.25" or smaller supercharger pulleys. Hope this helps, as check them out here:

thats sweet. now what about the fuel requirements? w/ the smaller pullies are they able to run on 91 octain? there only a few states that can only get 91 octain. ie here in cali. so having to run 93 is pretty much impossible. but good work none the less. got any dynosheets on what kind of gains they get from the smaller pullies?

Eddie, they are several forced air induction vehicles in California, Arizona and Colorado that run high levels of boost , well over 14 lbs. and run 91 octane fuel. Of course on these particular vehicles that do run these boost levels, also have reprogramming performed on their ECU's.

I would not recommend anyone running smaller than a 3.25" pulley on 91 octane, until we have some tuners step up to the plate on tested and proven ECU programming. Hope this helps, as by changing to Copper Tipped sparkplugs one range colder, does in fact lower cylinder temperatures and heat is the worst enemy of any forced air induction engine.

Also, we have several DUB 3.25" Pulley Units installed across the country and are waiting for these Dyno Results to come in. As soon as we do, we will upload them onto the different Cobalt / Redline Forums.

Is anyone running the 3.25" pulley yet on their SS. My thinking is that you would atleast want to do intake and exhaust mods to free up some more air flow first. Anyone have thoughts on this?

First thing I'm doing is going to wait for either the RKSport intake or the K&N intake. After that I'm just going to do whatever.

Probably not, you may see a negligible improvement on a dyno. It is mostly to help your engine better handle increased boost levels.

JapEatr, your stock sparkplugs are fine at this time with the stock supercharger pulley. However, if you do decide to upgrade to a 3.25" or smaller, than , yes, I would change them out for one range colder and close the gap down to .035, from th stock setting of .040. Hope this helps, as we have these plugs in stock, ready to ship in our Redline/Cobalt section, under Engine Components.

JapEatr, on a completely stock application, I would suggest staying with the stock sparkplugs. Yes, with the use of a sparkplug one range colder, it will lower cylinders temperatures to optimize performance under wide open throttle. Sparkplug gap is important as well, as living in a hot climate, it is recommended that you regap the plugs from the stock .040, down to .035, as heat is a forced air inductions worst enemy, in hindering the performance. Hope this helps.
