shifting problems after clutch install
I installed the gm clutch upgrade in my '05 cobalt ss/sc. The install went well, followed gm's write up all the way through. BUT! When I stomped on it for the first time and went to second, it took about a second and a half to go into gear. It does it every time now, and its a little slow going second to third. I don't know if one of the shift selectors got bumped, or what.
If anyone has experienced, or diagnosed, what this problem is....please let me know what the deal is. I just don't wanna get down there, start moving shift selectors around, and something break.
Thanks for your help, in advance.

I didn't change fluids.
yes, i broke the clutch in properly. and, it's not even 500mi.
I bled the system at the slave, first. Then, pulled a vacuum on the master cylinder like the gm tech manual calls for.

i have the same problem too. o6 ss lsd. i changed to a used fidanza fly and used spec stage 3+ clutch. didnt change the slave cylder though. some times when i get on the car the clutch pedal will stick in and the shifter is hard to engage. so i have to pump up the clutch to return back to normal. i bleed it with 2 people though old fashion way. i need to buy speed bleeders asap.

I heard about this problem with many other club members and asked a GM tech about this when he does the clutch in our cars. I told him about bleeding it like the GM handbook calls for and I bought all the tools for it to bleed it at the reservoir.
He had told me that this is a common problem for all complaints on guys that do it themselves and to bleed it at the bleeder screw like a car. With one person pumping the clutch and holding while the other bleeds the air out. The other method does not get out all the air. Try this and see if it works.
