Should Japeatr go turbo??
#89
running the 1900 has challenges as well
the blower does not utilize a bypass valve and does no line up with the endplate
the blower hits the oil filter housing, and the oil cooler
i was wanting to relo the oil cooler, but now i will have to mod the block (no bigge)

Yes that's what I'm asking I know he sold (almost) the 1320 and was asking about the 1900 and I honestly have no idea what Whipple offers but was just throwing that out. I'm sure at this point a turbo would be easier but at the same time those larger superchargers would be amazing to see.
t stone trying to make my comment look stupid when I really had more of an idea what was going on than him.

My vote is if you want to push it and make big power, go turbo. If you want to keep venturing and finding ways to pick up 5-10whp at a time here and there on the blower (which is also a lot of fun) then stay TVS. Both routes will be a good time. I did the TVS thing for over 3 years, which it was a lot of fun (clearly if it kept my attention for 3 years, I was having a good time with it), but it just couldn't satisfy what I wanted out of the car, and I do not care to run nitrous, just a personal preference, nor the 200+ shot it would take to make the power I can make now. I loved my TVS setup and ran it to low low 12's at near 120mph at the track on cheater slicks, but it was time for a change. Changed the car 100% from the engine to the drivetrain to the power adder and everything in between, and its a whole new car and I couldn't be happier, but I had high goals. Track talk, my car will be fully capable for running at the track, and with a little practice will run some decent times for FWD, but I only go to the track once a year usually, and 99.9% of my runs are on the street. On moderate boost it has already taken down some of the cars I would have only dreamed of hanging with before, and that says a lot because we all saw how deadly my TVS setup was on the street from the millions of videos I posted I ran my old TVS the other night for ***** and giggles and by the time we were at 130 he was at least 10-15 car lengths back, and last night he hung right with a ZFR LNF on 26 lbs, so the car is no slouch. And the nice thing is I have a solid 50-70whp left in the setup as it sits, just gotta turn up that dial and tune for it.
That's just my 2 cents from having experience in both worlds. And if you didn't have enough proof that I am not anti SC now that I've gone turbo, my other car is an 07 redline on the stock M62 with a ported head and cams on E85 that I have posted plenty of videos of as well
