misfire, sputter, hard to start, choppy idle. things like that.

You guys are talking about 38? 32? According to my Haynes Manual it says 42 or 40 depending on your engine, year ect...
I have one step colder plugs gapped at 40 instead of 42 as reccomended by the company that did my tune.

The idea is always to have the largest gap possible without getting spark blowout. For a 2.85 pulley I would start at .034 and work my way down from there if you are having problems.
