Haha, cost wise they're comparable and that's what really got me thinking.

Nick do you like your turbo or wish you woulda gone bigger? My buddy and I were discussing the 6262 and 5858 as options.

6262 is baller but 99% of people won't be able to supply the fuel to even let it stretch it's legs. 5858 would be plenty. I'm gonna have a tough time feeding my 5862.

I've got the special 1200 injectors and a rsfs but I don't imagine I'll push it to 700+

To really push the 6262 you'd need 2000's either a surge tank set up with 044's or a fuel cell with a badass pump. Of corse I'm talking in terms of corn, I don't know anything else. I tried getting the dual in tank pumps from zzp but the don't offer them anymore.

This^ lol

But I do think a 5858 would be plenty and 600 is still possible. I dont know much about turbos though, journal or ball bearing? What's the AR?

And Alan I'm interested in your reduced lag setup

Alans set up is the way to go, should save some money too. With that set up you don't need bb. Hell even most guys running 6262's are journal and do just fine.
5858 with alans set up journal bearing and you'll be happy as fawk. Gotta buy a meth kit though

since I've yet to purchase usable cams or the ati, this seems like a good time to make a change if I so choose.

Also, Nick and/or Alan, 9.5:1 pistons gonna slow my roll here or be fine?

Gotcha, its gonna be on E so knocking will be a bit easier to avoid. And I suspect Ill break stock motor bits after 300ish so I should probably think about putting the stocker back together lol

I'm also working on a setup that uses a heavily modified stock IM for those that don't want to go non ic. Should still spool very quick.

I definitely want to go no ic. Id be selling the whole setup, which would cover the turbo or manifolds and dp. Though my evo buddy might be able to make some stuff for me.

So I found a few saab IMs but as far as I can tell zzp or Hahn is the only way to go for exhaust manifold?

o44 wont cut it nor will a surge tank once you get to a point its time for a cell thats why you need to decide what is going to be a realistic goal and still be able to drive the car on the street

That's the nice thing about surge tanks. You can make as big as your desired location will allow and run multiple pumps (like nick said), just like with a cell.

You act as if the in tank pump shuts off at wot in a surge tank setup.
