specter air filters junk?
So I have a ss/sc with a injen intake and I had to replace the injen filter since it got dameaged couldn't find a K&N one that would fit my intake so I tried a specter air filter and now when i hit 4k I lose power and feels like its not getting enough air? Sound right?

i ran one of those things way back in the day on the airbox mod before there were any intakes available. worked fine for about a year or so.
if you oiled it, it could have too much oil on the filter, may want to double check that

the spectere is actually better then the injen filter. i put a fujita, spectere, and injen on a superflow 600 flow bench and spectere flowed 60cfm better then the injen and the fujita flowed 98cfm better then the injen. i ran a spectere for awhile with no problems, clean your maf w/maf cleaner and oil a little less.

Well the filter is new so its pre oiled isn't it? Ill clean the maf once I head out today. I didn't disconnect the battery when I swapped it. Has it just not relearned yet maybe?

that air filter is garbage, get it off ur car. I had the exact same problem and actually still have the filter in my basement. They are over oiled like a mother and that's what's causing your problem. Either hit it with some degreaser to get rid of most of the oil or go back to autozone and buy the AEM dryflow filter. That's what I did, problem solved.
