ss/sc = sohc honda??
ok guys need some help. i just installed my cia header and dp on my car. i have a 2.5 catback with a magnaflow muffler and no resonater. so 3" dp, and 2.5 pipe into magnaflow straight through muffler. needless to say the car sounds like ass. i compare it to a pissed off bumble bee on steriods. now i love the performance of the setup and like the idle, my issue is the rasp. i think a good resonater would help tremendously so what would you all recommend? what will quiet the bitch down without hurting my performance a lot? or is there just another muffler i should buy that will help? any info is loved!

Almost every exhaust video I've seen for any SS/SC sounds like raw ass to me, a full hanh exhaust sounds good, and arks exhaust isn't bad in real life I believe, and alot of people on here seem to like the..super turbo dynomax muffler? or something like that

You have the worst setup possible for sound.
You're best having at least two resonators in addition to the muffler if you want halfway-decent sound. I have the stock muffler, stock resonator, and a bullet resonator where the cat used to be and I have mixed feelings about it.

stock exhaust and catless downpipe... carsontech on here has a catted downpipe on his car with stock exhaust on his Ion Redline and i think its still quieter than my stock ss/tc

i've had:
a custom = bad sound
gmpp touring = best sound for a car with a supercharger
magnaflow = bad sound
hahn = horrible sound with a tvs, and sounds like a dream with a turbo

i have the gmpp honed header and the gmpp performance catback. love the sound (with stock cat) kinda deep and not raspy. when i added the CA downpipe w/ hiflo cat it sounds raspy as **** when under hard accel in 1st or when stopped and revving, otherwise when moving sounds good and i love the backfiring

its a 2.0 4 cyl. s/c wat do you expect a srt4 sound? if so slap on a turbo it will improve the sound greatly. i try and ignore the sound of my exhaust and focus all my hearing on the blower

agree. I have yet to hear a exhaust set up on a ss/sc that sounds good. I had header, 3" dp with hiflow cat and magnaflow exhaust with 12" resinator...sounded like ass. It was one of the reasons why i sold the cobalt.

your car doesn't have any top secret parts that makes it sound any different from all the other cobalts with fart cans
