I have this muffler and its awesome not too loud and very quiet when just cruising and no rasp either. This is the one I got Dynomax Performance 17733 - Dynomax Super Turbo Mufflers - Overview - SummitRacing.com

Hes also "catless" which I noted so yes he has some rasp but wayy better than what other mufflers or catback exhausts sound like. And just to let you know my downpipe has a cat and along with the stock resonator and there is "no rasp" on my exhaust trust me.

i had the exact setup as you actually for about a year, except borla muffler i had instead of magnaflow, i think it sounded awesome and i got alot of complements, plus i liked the fact that it was extremely ******* loud. i recently put a catted 2.5" zzp downpipe on instead of the 3" i had and all the rasp is gone, and its alot quieter.

i bought the car with everything it has on it.
the muffler sounds good, its very low and doesnt rasp too bad.
if i had my choice, and the money, i would go with a full SLP exhaust.
cant attest to the SLP's sounds, but i like the brand.
i guess i should have bought a camaro...

my clutch too hates me with a 2.6 port head and 25* of timing on the 1-2 shift, slips everytime, ralli did you end up building said head with the new gm revised rockers and lifters?

I'm in the process of redoing my exhaust now. previous set up was zzp 3" h/dp with cat, 2.5" cb with 12" spiral resonator, and dynomax super turbo muffler. It sounded half decent but that catback wasnt mandrel and the dynomax muffler isn't straight through so it left alot of HP on the table.
Current as of 2 weeks ago: H/DP is the same, I added mandrel 2.5" pipe, kept the 12" resonator, replaced the dynomax with a 18" vibrant resonator, and it sounds like rectum. extremely loud and "fartey," drones at 2500 - 3000 rpm, and it farts horribly on decel.
This weekend: going to rip catback off, put the vibrant where the shitty 12" resonator is, 2.5" mandrel pipe, and a straight through 18"x4"x10" oval muffler out back.
If this still is intolerable, I will likely sell the catback and go with a GM part
These are the only exhausts I have heard and found tolerable.
One thing is certain, I will never have another s/c'd 4 banger...

No, but I am this time around, that was just a street ported head also, it flowed just about as much as the M2Race (OTTP) head. My new port job is far more aggressive and has oversized Ferrea valves in it. And it will get the GM revised lifters and rockers.
