The code is set due to unexpected inputs from the MAFS. This often accurs shortly after an aftermarket has been installed (airbox mod, CAI) due to the oil in the filter. This oil will burn and stick to the hotwire in the MAFS which will cause it to run rich. After a few miles, remove the MAFS and clean carefully with an appropriate solvent (pure spirits).

So how do you clean a MAF safely?
I have a K&N Intake pipe and just installed the AEMDryflow and it sits too low almost touching the bottom of my wheel well.... My question is would it me a good idea to shorten the pipe a little by cutting some off?? Also becuase there is a pretty big lip at the end of the K&N making it hard to stick the filter on....what do you guys think?

Just installed a secret weapon r cold air intake kit with ram air on my cobalt ss s/c. Picked the kit up for $180. Came with filter cleaning solution, foam filter, breather filter, ram air hose, ram air coupler, and tube.
The install required me to bend one of the mounting brackets in order to get the tire fender to fit properly. The ram air kit required me to cut a 3" vertical piece out of the under tray.
Other than those two problems, had no trouble with codes of any kind. Pleased with the results and enjoy the S/C whine.
I posted a you tube video after I installed it, unfortunately I did not have my camera around for the install.

Just installed my Rebel AutoWorx 3" intake and I am really happy with it. Definitely an upgrade over my aluminum Injen intake that was beginning to get holes rubbed into it. Rebel's intake was definitely made for performance and durability. Stainless Steel > Aluminum. The supercharger whines a little more too with the extra 1/2 inch diameter. Just thought I would share my opinion for those of you that are looking into intakes. RAW > INJEN IMO

If you want a 3" CAI, go w/ the RD Fabs intake. It's 3" T304 SS from intake to TB and is one piece, unlike the RAW Intake. It also doesn't bulge the fender liner like the Fujita...
