Hello fellow magazine racers!!!! I wanted to share a kill story with you guys!!! I am just curious to see if anyone has beat any porche 911 turbos yet in there gm stage 2 balts ??!?!
I have heard of people running 11 seconds in these cars so I just looking to hear some kill stories!!?!?!

thats true some are rediculous but also alot of people act like some cars can't be beat, like they're god on wheels. I know my isn't the fastest but that don't mean you can't destroy another car with it especially if the driver mod isn't in the opposing car...lol

You're a jerk. Stop causing trouble and leave this forum you troll. Stock for stock from a dig the cobalt couldn't take an evo, an sti, an S2k, or hell a porsche 911. It could on the other hand take an RX-8 (damn I used to love those cars...until I found out they had no torque).

Well said, and that's true, many people here do make some crazy story here. Its hard to get video evidsence, and some times...people don't believe you then. That is why I post up legit war stories. So far only one or two.

I am soo sick of all the crap that goes on in this forums you guys are all kidding yourselves..... thinking driver mod adds 200 hp or something....

I think most of you know whats the point of my post, if you want to post kill stories great we all love to hear about them. However if you are going to completely lie about it make it atleast somewhat believable, these balts are sport coupes... and not even the fastest in our class.

2007 Mazdaspeed 3 5.4 14.0
2005 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged, 6.1 14.4

Now throw in Gm stage 2... a pretty nice mod but people keep wayyy over estimating this mod entirely. You guys do realise when gm says it makes 245 hp its just at the fly wheel. In reality the mod at the most is good for about 20 fwhp, than you throw on a few other bolt ons and cobalts ss/sc easily make about 245 fwhp *about where mine was at *.

So to sum up stage two cobalt = str4 roughly, this is if you are a really good driver most people cant run 13.9 on a stage 2 balt even with bolt ons.

Pretty much at best it would be like a srt 4 pulling up to my mach 1 in a race "since you guys like to compare to evos / stis which are about on par with my car depending on the year".

Anyways if a srt4 pulled up to me stock it would be a complete joke just like a cobalt ss/sc with stage 2 even if they both had traction . Trust me I just came from a stage 2 + bolt ons balt, to a mach 1 with just exhaust and its a huge difference.


Lastly as far as some of you guys trying to make these just track cars....... I mean what are you thinking?? Why buy a brand new car like this which has almost no big number potential "keep in mind you can make anything with two wheels a 11 second car if you throw enough money at it .....", and make it even more unreliable than it is by modding it to death...

Even just considering that its fwd do you understand how much better rwd is for drag racing?? I can just simply throw on drag radials and drop the clutch at 5k and actually hook up instead of spinning or "wheel hop" *Keep in mind my car pushes atleast 320 lb/trq * . You know how much you would have to do to your balt for it to be able to do that.... if its even possible....

Look I am not bashing balts the ss/sc's are completely unreliable, but for the money I thought Gm balanced styling and performance really well. I still think the ss/sc that are tinted are a very good looking car. However that doesnt change the fact that these compared to other new cars are VERY unreliable, and are NOT muscle or sports cars.

STOP trying to compete with the real sports cars and enjoy what you have!

O get out of here dude, who cares if people wanna lie about what they have out ran, hell I can say my balt out ran a fighter jet, but who cares whoopty do, everyone has they're own cars and everyone gets excited about they're own cars, nobody's knockin on your mach1, so dont knock on our cobalts, that'd be like someone with a z06 or a viper coming into your guys forums and knockin your cars saying how your Mach1 doesnt have the potential to hit 500 ft/lbs (rough est.) and y waste your time to compete with them. As for Sti's man they're Rally cars so who cares. AND WITH ENOUGH MONEY YOU CAN MAKE ANY CAR FAST! Mach1 isnt the fastest bee in the nest neither, so take your comments and go eat a cheese burger. Buh Bye.

Why are you even comparing them, you have 4 more cylinders, i would hope it would have more hp potential, and be faster
