If you have someone to tune you, you can do better for less money by just buying a Nates pulley, a belt and some injectors.

...Asuming, of course, that this guy can do a good job of tuning Balts.

don't really need that either, just buy the parts seperate, when you buy the stage kits your paying for a tune, since you already have someone to do it for you all you need is a smaller belt, pulley, and larger injectors.

Dude, tuning will void your warranty anyway, if they check it.

Well, yea. It's a lot harder to re-press on a factory pulley.

It really depends. How small of a pulley are you going to want to go to in the long run? You kinda need to plan ahead on that one. That will tell you the injector size you need. The belt is not that much and Nate is really reasonable as far as pulleys go. A LOT of people on here have them.

They have no way of checking if you are tuned. redline would be the only give away.

you don't need a shorter belt either just a larger idler gates 38009 $20. Nates pulley system. And some fuel injectors from http://www.cobaltperformanceparts.co..._Set_of_4.html

And a tune from your buddy.$100 for the credits. I can send you a base tune and adjust from there.

You arn't saving much money and voiding the warranty if they want to be dicks. I would just get the stage II from crate engine depot for $550.

Sorry to correct you, but they can tell if you've written to the PCM.

Just wondering how they could tell as far as all they can pull from the pcm is the calibration # and the operating system #. Maybe I am wrong and you can enlighten me.

Well, if I am wrong, I would love to know for sure, as I have a couple of people holding off on tuning due to warranty concerns. It was my impression that HPT left a footprint of sorts behind and that even if you were to flash back to stock, they can tell. This is strickly heresay, but fairly reliable heresay. I personally have never had a car that I have tuned go in for warranty service (that I know of).

The dealer can't tell Possibly if they send the pcm to gm and have the whole thing down loaded and checked. They wouldn't bother. I have had my car in and they even reflashed it with an updated flash and didn't know. Of corse I had to retune it but they didn't have a clue.

good to know. I just looked over at the HPT forums and the common understanding there is that tune = bye bye warranty.
