Stage 2 Installed!

I finally got my stage 2 installed, I do notice a difference in power nothing to crazy I do notice the car sounds a lot louder then before and the charger screams. I thought the psi was supposed to be up to 15 I only see like 13 if that. before the stage 2 it was just over 10 maybe it still needs to break in I have 4200 miles on it. I'm happy I put this thing on though! yeah!

Cool, I hope you enjoy it. You will need to remember to come back and let us know how to like it in a month or two. I intend to get one myself but it will be later in the fall. If you dont mind me asking how long did it take the dealership to install it (assuming you went to the dealership for installation)?

My boost was the same way, still remains to show lower number than other people.

Both of my SS's boosted 10psi stock, and not even 15 with Intense Stage 3. My car oddly enough was still faster than the other cars that were boosting normal boost, and it still is that way around my neck of the woods. It doesn't mean you are boosting low, it's just off calibration or something. Even with the 2.7" pulley I only see 16psi. Most people will see 18+ with my pulley.

how much did they charge to install your stage two, or did you do it yourself?

are you looking at the boost at redline?
sounds like your looking at it when you punch it.
and those numbers would be normal.

you will hit about 13 instantly, but as you build through the RPMS, and right at redline in like 3rd gear....you should be seeing 15.

Brian> What type of idiot technician would install fuel injectors and pulley on a car and not even think it needed to be re-flashed? Some dealerships must be filled with morons.

I think they should rename those "Dealerships" as "Deal-with-*****" cause you always gotta put up with their crap.

At first I thought my boost didn't change - looked like it was still around 12.5 but if I look at the boost gauge right before redline it does hit 15

****... sorry to the OP...
Psykostevo...
They did reflash it with some BS flash they had.
2 days after getting the Kit installed I got my Firts CEL. Running Rich.. NO ****..
didnt think much of it. just thought it had to "learn" the inectors.hahah
So I gun it one day.. Redline and chugs at 6500.
Now Im screwed cuz they dont have the paper anymore with the Code on it to get the VCI# from GM. and GM wont give it to them. They are trying to say that its an after market product. LOL cuz I didnt get it right from GM. I need phone numbers so that I can call GM and complain about this....

yeah I went to a dealer they said 4 hours cause they had trouble with the programming but they charged me for 3 and a half hours came out to 360 after taxes for the install.

I know they flashed it cause I'm getting the 7 redline. the car is new so I'm guessing it. had to break in. come to think of it they threw my paper out too. as long as I'm feeling the power I'm happy though ill keep you all posted hopefuly it breaks in

Stage II is a great mod because of being able to keep the warranty. Though in time you will want more power. Somebody on the forums told me I was wasting my money by getting stage II because in just a couple months the car would feel slow again because I was use to the extra HP, he was right. I plan to get rid of stage II soon and go with a custom kit using HP tuners.

Yeah that may be true but alls a stage 2 is is a stronger fuel injectors and a pulley which most people opt for a smaller one. you can go up to stage 6 keeping all the original stage 2 parts as far as i know so its no big deal. You do have to do some internal work to withstand the power though. cams heads and all that good stuff with the stage 2 will increase alot more power.

To go with a smaller pulley to make an withstanding amount of power from what I've read 60#'s are needed, therefore you will need a new tune and to get that tune you either need HP tuners or take it to some place that can tune it for you. Though if you are just looking for a fun daily driver stage 2 is the way to go. I got stage 2 back in Feb., and I am already ready for more power.

My car never showed 12.5 psi until i had over 5000 miles on it for some reason . It might be elevation or heat and humidity that shows lower boost numbers too .

never said the exhaust was louder i said the car is louder but i ment the engine higher pound injectors will make the engine louder and now that it works harder the exhaust is actually sounding louder.
