Stage 2 and Slipping

Just started noticing that pulling in 3rd and in 4th gear my clutch slips a lil.

Any suggestions, such as;

approaching GM about it?
just get an aftermarket?
waiting till it's craps out?

the 2-3 shift you can hear some slipping but it's only every once and a while when nailing it.

Hopefully I'm gonna be able to grab a clutchmasters soon!!!

If by chance you're still in your 1yr / 12k miles timeframe, take it to GM. Otherwise start saving for aftermarket.

Well, I had the same problem P7X. I decided to go with the aftermarket clutch. My ClutchMasters FX300 is awsome. I would definately recommend it as an appropriate upgrade.

I just need to get rid of this squeal I have. I may have to pull the car apart again to replace the slave cylinder again. I may have got a bad one.

The GM clutch itself isn't the weak point it's what controls it.

I had slippage problems when 100% stock, after taking it to GM it was a faulty slave cylinder. The slave wouldn't let the clutch engage 100% causing it to slip every once and a while.

I had a new GM clutch & slave replaced under warranty at 7800 miles and added my Stage 2 at 7900 miles. I haven't had any slip so far, when I down shift into second at 40mph I can spin the tires with ease.

I hate to say it but if your clutch is slipping even slightly, it will only get worse and everytime u feel it slip ur making it worse so if u plan to drive where it makes it slip its going to eventually die, it happend to me and i'll admit its my fault but clutch slippings isn't one of those things that go away.

I know this is common knowledge but i figured id state it.

Slip could easily go away. Your clutch just won't be as reliable.

When I used to launch with my stock clutch(can't anymore because its got one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel) and I would slip the clutch and floor it about 1/3 through the gear it would almost immediately red line because of my tires spinning and i would shift when it redlined, but i eventually learned it will hit the red line then come back down and hit it again and then i'd shift because it would have gained traction. But if i would shift when it first hit the red line i would shift into 2nd and stand on it and it would just kind of lull between 5000-6500 and fluxuate up and down. and it would be slipping

Well I have just over 5K on the car and the other night I shifted from 1-2 and got on it and with the clutch all the way out and my foot of it it slipped.
Im pissed! I have been driving a stigh for 10 years and have never had a clutch go out that had less then 100K on it. I drive a semi for a living and know what im doing and it still started slipping on me.

It will only slip in 1st 2nd and 3rd but if you get on it to hard it will just slipp and it seams to be geting wores the longer I drive it.

Its parked right now and I will take it to the dealer then next time I get home as Im on the road right now.

Later

Whats the best Cluthmasters to not slip but I dont want to have a very hard clutch. Is the FX 3200 a lot stiffer than stock?

The FX300 at first is a biotch! Once it's broken in, it feels ever so slightly firmer than the stock clutch did. It is still extremely drivable in traffic.

I think im going to go with the CM FX200 I would like a ACT clutch but they don't make one. Problem being is that I have spent a couple grand this summer and am paying that off when this happen and my tires and going as well . Clutch and new tires will be almost 2g's.

Anyone personally know how long it takes to swap a clutch? Never done one before. Might even have to get it done which is even more money!
