Stage 2 w/ 2.8" = Too Slow for Me
Well, I finally realized that even with my car running like a champ at it's fastest paces thus far Stage 2 and the 2.8" pulley won't cut it for me. I got my A$$ handed to me again for the last time last night. To all who said this from the beginning, you're absolutely correct! When I come back from the deployment I'm about to embark on, there will be some serious changes made.
I am either going with:
Intense Stage 5, header/downpipe, water/meth injection, CA heat exchanger, and a custom tune
OR
Hahn racecraft full turbo kit for the SS.

Get a header with a no cat downpipe, 2.5" pulley, and port the TB and blower. The meth injection is a good idea too. That should get you to 22-23psi. Any more than that - BOOM

Personally, Id save up the money for the HP Tuners software. That way you have custom tunability. Full exhaust is going to also be beneficial. Don't forget that at some point an upgraded clutch, and probably axles need to be incorporated into your build.

22-23 psi doesn't equal boom for me. I have a cometic headgasket and golden eagle headstuds already! I also already have the Stage 3 CM clutch that holds quite well. I think with some tuning with HPT, 60lb injectors, water/meth, a 2.5" pulley, full exhaust, and some blower porting it will put me where I want to be. If not a turbo kit will definately put me there.
I'd like a 350z, but I want to finish one project before I start another. And if I did start another project it would be AWD. I already have too much time and energy spent on this car to just let it go as some of you guys know. Buying a SRT-8 is definately not me either. I'd buy a Vette or GTO long before the SRT-8.
Oh, and it was an SRT-4 that whopped me again. Full TBE, Intake, AGP wastegaste, Mopar Stage 1 ECU. Holding 20psi and having .4 more liters needless to say beats my 17 or so psi on 2.0 liters. He is one of the slower SRT-4's out of the bunch my friends own too!
Plus, to top that off an all motor civic hatch that was short shifting at 8000rpm instead of 9000rpm beat me too. It runs 11sec quarters though, so it really wasn't a race I expected to win.

As far as SRT-8 to each there own. If you dont like four doors then get the challenger. either way you sound like a big block power head not a pocket rocket.
good luck with the project. I am just saying if you plan on beating everything on the planet than you chose the wrong vehicle. It can beat many but not easily unfortunately. but I hope Hahn Turbo proves that the pistons are better than what everyone else thinks.
Maybe you believe the pistons can handle alot more? what do you think. I am interested and also suport you thoughts with info or links. thanks.

I realize that the car will not beat everything on the planet. Someone will always be faster, this is a fact for sure. I just think the car has a lot more potential, which has been proven, and I just want to bring it out in mine. Eventually I'll get to the point where there is no more to be done, but I still enjoy driving the car and have fun working and building it.
I was raised by some detroit muscleheads needless to say, so I do have a strong yeaning for the musclecar, but I also like to be different. I'll probably keep modding my SS until the Challanger and Camaro are released, by then it'll be paid off, and I could pick up a muscle car then.
I think the SS's pistons can take around 350-400whp. My reasonning behind this is Twincharged's redline. He has the same setup I do, in addition to a turbo, and put close to 350whp on a stock bottom end. I am interested to see what Hahn has discovered as well. I think if it was necessary to swap pistons I could do it, because I was just a few steps from doing it just like the build book shows a week or so ago. We'll see what the future holds.
