starting my turbo swap(;
Hello guys just wanted to share with you all that I will be converting from supercharged to turbo in the next couple of weeks. I was originally going tvs but after thinking it through I decided to go turbo for various reasons. I had fun being supercharged and all but I just want more and feel I can get more power with a turbo. I purchased parts from zzp, ebay and the forum to make this happen. I purchased the turbo kit from member noor and items like saab intake manifold, alternator, tensioner pulley, ect.. from ebay and zzp. I will also be needing a tuner once this project is done since there is no capable tuner down here in the valley that can properly tune a cobalt ss. So if anyone is interested in helping a brotha out let me know! Any tips or comments feel free to write them. Will update as I do progress, which may take awhile since i will be doing everything myself and go to school and work full time but bare with me! Thanks guys!

I will probably use the turbo noor was using which was the comp 5556 and maybe down the road go something bigger. For now my plans are to get the car together one time done right and get a good reliable street/track friendly tune.

Yessir. Dicker rd right after veterans is where I usually start my log and go til the end then right towards military. There's always 3 troopers on military in just that one spot so I don't go there anymore lol
That's like pretty much where my house is at so it's real easy for me to go there lol

Installed 2.2 tensioner pulley and 2.2 alternator. Also had to buy the connection for the alternator since i didnt realize they were different. Went to the junkyard and got it for 10 bucks. Also bought some shorter bolts for the alternator to mount to the engine and ran the belt.

Cleaned the lk9 manifold a bit. Was filthy as f! Used some engine degreaser from autozone and a brush and rag. Still need to clean some more. Sanded it a bit with some sandpaper to try to get it to look better
Also enlarged the lk9 manifold holes to fit the lsj manifold bolts and test fitted it with the phenolic spacer i had already. Fit nice and snug! Will need to buy 2 more bolts the same size since the ones i had were for the lsj intake manifold. Easy peasy.
Swapped the 2.2 connection for the alternator and connected the cable that runs to the alternator as well.
