Yes, its a direct replacement !!

I have one with very low miles on it for sale if you would like.

P.S. K&N filters are not bad for our cars. It's the retards that over oil them that have problems

Just a thin line of oil on the crest of each pleat is all you need to oil the filter. Let it sit for an hour. I never had oil gunk issues...

My K&N was not oiled when I got my ZZP intake, and it was still in the K&N box directly from them. So no, they do not all come pre-oiled.

Yes, they should all should come pre-oiled from the factory.

Every K&N I have ever bought for any of my cars came pre-oiled. I would have sent that filter back if I got it like that.

Yes ....

If the filter is oiled, the gauze should be a light pink color. Was it?

It was just that normal K&N dark red that we are all used to seeing, is the best way I can explain it.

Then it was oiled ....

The K&N cotten gauze media is white when it doesnt contain oil. If its a pink to red color it is oiled.

Mm.. Well I'm a retard.

Although I was over at my buddy's house when he cleaned his drop-in for his LS1 and it was red throughout. Even after being hosed.

Did he use the K&N cleaning kit ??

There is a solution/cleaner in the kit that removes all oil and dirt. Once clean the gauze will be white. Then the oil should be re-applied making it pink-red again.
