thank you...i really need to know, i'm tryin to do some $ saving mods. i want to replace the cat and i wana know the exact size of the downpipe so i can buy the right size cat instead of buying a whole new down pipe for a couple of hundred bux......
....has anyone here replaced the cat only with stock pipes to compliment the rest of the exhaust system?

i cut the bottleneck out, and had it welded on to my Corsa Touring Ex System.. now i wana work on the rest of the downpipe, chop off that squished part by the O2 bung, and put a high-flow cat(magnafow). i'm still trying to decide on the headers(hahn maybe), are there any other 4-2-1 headers out there ecept vibrant, does any1 know where i can buy a vibrant header by itself, without the d/p as always advertised?

...long tube? mid-length? or shorty?

ok...i just mic'd the stock downpipe.

2.20" Inner diameter at the front flange off the header
2.50" Outter diameter at the flex-joint.
2.75" OD front/rear of cat.
2.40-2.45" at 02 sensor bung.

hope this will answer some questions. The ID of the upper flange is tiny and is certainly a large bottleneck
