Once again Mrb Ur probably right..Crower said it isnt recommended but is possible.
I don't have control over the size of the dampner or timing gears with out having to put a bunch of work into them.
A hardened key is wat they recommended to me.

hardened yes tool steel no if the dampener hub was hardened and the crank snout then tool steel would be fine but they aren't size has nothing to do with it

I was referring to size as having a tool steel key requires more of a press fit in the crank and dampner..to keep the slop out.
Like u said it will woller out the anyways.

I would rather the key shear then destroy a crank

Ok so got the cavalier all finished up last night.. gona smog it tomarrow. once its all good ill be putting the balt back in the garage to get it ready for racing. i picked up some zzp control arms so we will see how that goes. Had to service my pontiac G6 so i figured while i was there i would clean the TB. well long story short and a lot of cussing i ended up having to do a idle learn down on the car the pcm compensates for the carbon build up in the TB. Now that is out of warrenty the wife wants me to sc it for her. lol

Looks nice, I liked how the block looked before you powder coated it, that aluminum was CLEAN. Not impressed with zzps control arms I would have put the money else where since our control arms are aluminum and you can run the spherical bushings in them. But very nice man, very nice.

I am alittle bit tacky with ZZP Control Arms. Cause 1 Guy had 1 and it had broke then ZZP stop making them but they brought it back. I hope it's safe but I feel more safer with Our GM Control Arm along with My Spherical Bushings.
