Im not in any any hurry man.
Wats crazy to think about is that ive just about bought everything for this build..
I mean the only things im using out of the original short block r the crank that i modded and the rods that i proly should have bought new ones instead of fixing these. I traded for the head and thats it. I have all the receipts for everything I wonder what the grand total is. Lol my gess os around 5,000$

time to put them long hours in. Coffee and no sleep for two days obsessing over every clearance. Glad to see those ring gaps numbers. I went .024 and .014. Man I want to tear down and do it all over again just because it was so fun and exciting seeing it go together. Great job man.

Oh ya.
Its gona be a built over a few weeks im not in any hurry to finish it. I plan to work on it a lil each night. All 3 of my cars run perfictly fine so this 2.4 is a fun project.
The cobalt just hangs in the garage again and the.Cavi is my DD and my girl drives the 2009 pontiac G6

plastigauge is for oil clearance and will give you a ball park idea
the ideal way is to torque the bed plate in place and measure the bearing diameter and measure the crank diameter then subtract the two and that is your oil clearance
plastigauge will not tell you if your crank is in spec or out of round

Oh ya it is fun. Cant wait to fire it up.
I wonder how it will run with over 30 lbs taken off the rotating assembly. Should be one edge bitch
