very nice build thus far.

I have my own build going on as soon as I get my block back from mrb. Does the rotating assembly have to be balanced on a stock crank stock lsj rods and a diamond pistons if all are within a gram or two?

I definitely agree with belvedere on either getting neutral balance shafts or getting the balance shaft delete kit. I opted for the balance shaft delete on my car and it was well worth the money IMO.

I'd also invest in the gmpp/bates oil pump gears and ati dampner. I got my gears from allecotec.com and my dampner straight from ati, both worth the money when building an engine like this plus it's just a good piece of mind and added insurance on both said items.

all i did on my first build was balance the weights of the pistons and rods.

update..
one week till my pistons ship.
12.1:1 compression
Engineered to handle 1000hp thats wat wiseco tells me anyways. ill be happy with half that on a m62 and a few addons..lol
gess i better get to finishing my port job on my head. been a slackin a lil..

ill be honestly impressed to see it hit 400 whp. my gut says lower than that.

the thing to remember even if he does hit around 400 its going to be all power under a very nice tq hp curve. It will feel like a 450 hp car is my bet. I wish i had stayed with my m62 sometimes.

if i can get 375 with the m62 on my 2.4. 500 will be easy to get to..NOS anyone..lol

im hopin to dyno very very soon and im shooting for the higgest m62 hp..im not tryin to talk a bunch of **** thats my goal..the dyno i have in mind is very very new so hopin its semi accurate.

as soon as the owner of the shop with the dyno gets back in town.
i was told he will be out of town for a few weeks..he had a family member passe away.

So you're building a lsj stroker on the side at the moment.. and you have a stock lsj in your car now? or what's in your car atm?

zzp rods
ported head
ported m62
stock valve train
electric water pump
zzp 3" intake
ported ls4 tb
zzp long tube header port matched and welds smothened
zzp 3" catless exhaust
zzp stage 4 clutch
fidenza flywheel
s1 axles
60# injectors
ottp killer chiller
arp bolts everywhere lol
i do have nos on the car
h&r springs
brembos
arp wheel studs
tuned by myself on e85
i think that covers it
