I had a K&N on my Cobalt with stage 2 and its not as loud as my Redline with K&N with stock pulley. The Redline intake goes up into the fender so its loud a **** when you get on it. Where as the Cobalt goes down towards the front bottom of the bumper.

I could barely hear my M62 when I installed my header-back magnaflow setup... it sucked.

After I installed the TVS, blower whine was all but gone... that really sucked.

Yesterday I installed a stainless works chambered turbo muffler. (https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/gene...ml#post5270303)

It is the same concept as the dynomax super turbo but it is all stainless construction, and uses steel wool packing instead of fiberglass so that the sound wont change over time. Now the exhaust is quiet enough to hear even the TVS.

I should have bought that muffler its basically a clone of the super turbo except built with better materials, my dyno max super turbo is blown out already, its still ten times quieter then my hahn but its gotten noticably louder

to the op, even though you have gm stg 2, thats no more than a pulley, belt, injectors n the good ole pig rich tune and not to mention that pulley is like haveing a brick bolted on the end of the m62's snout. I suggest one of nate 2.9's which is half the rotating mass of a gm pulley which will get into boost much faster. Also some type of intake will help, I would get a 3inch of either brand you like for down the road when you want more power you wont have to worry about your charger trying to suck through a straw! Zzp makes a nice one and is cheaper than most of the big name brands. So for $260 it'll be screaming. O n yea there is also a silencer plug mod for your charger but do a search for it, I'll say no more lol

^ nope, he actually owns one of the test pieces. I guess in essence it is just a rotor swap, except for the fact you can't source the rotors anywhere. I'm curious to hear this thing already Jeff!

The rotors are the what make it special and provide the extra power, but the outlet of the housing is also ported to accomodate them. When installed it looks just like an M62 (minus the test markings on the blower housing).

Haha, the weather is going to clear up this friday. I will have a video for ya steve.

The H62 is on the bottom:

What it looks like from the top:

Shot of the high helix rotors:

nice!, whats different about the rotors? are they just like 90* twist or 4 lobe or what? and how much more boost over the m62?

The rotors are twisted 120* vs. the 60* twist of the M62 rotors, and are still a 3-lobe design. So pretty much they are between the M62 & TVS (160*) rotors. In fact the H62 rotors were a test bed for the rotors found in the Harrop TVS. It makes about 1.5psi more per pulley size than the M62. My car as it sits now with full exhaust & supporting mods produces about 15.5-16psi on a 2.874" pulley.
