i peak at about 15 on a 2.9 with my m62 and i will have to post a clip and then you guys will be able to see that mine doesn't really anymore 
and maybe it is the exhaust but im not sure

The rotors are twisted 120* vs. the 60* twist of the M62 rotors, and are still a 3-lobe design. So pretty much they are between the M62 & TVS (160*) rotors. In fact the H62 rotors were a test bed for the rotors found in the Harrop TVS. It makes about 1.5psi more per pulley size than the M62. My car as it sits now with full exhaust & supporting mods produces about 15.5-16psi on a 2.874" pulley.
so did you notice a pitch/loudness change between the two? is it like the tvs where its a little deeper whine and quieter?

I wasn't aware that the H62 had that big of an oulet, I tried looking for one forever im pretty sure you have the last one in known existence, lucky bastard.

to the op, even though you have gm stg 2, thats no more than a pulley,belt,injectors n the good ole pig rich tune and not to mention that pulley is like haveing a brick bolted on the end of the m62's snout. I suggest one of nate 2.9's which is half the rotating mass of a gm pulley which will get into boost much faster. Also some type of intake will help, I would get a 3inch of either brand you like for down the road when you want more power you wont have to worry about your charger trying to suck through a straw! Zzp makes a nice one and is cheaper than most of the big name brands. So for $260 it'll be screaming. O n yea there is also a silencer plug mod for your charger but do a search for it, I'll say no more lol

Only 3 were documented to exist (one being mine), but 7 were rumored to be made.
I'll be taking a video if it later this week, and posting it for you guys so you can hear the wonderful whine it makes
I think it sounds like a mini M112 blower.

yeah any aftermarket exhaust will def help cover up the whine.dunno if i posted these before but...

I have the Fujita 3" intake, LOUD as all hell. Stock exhaust keeps the whine unmuted.
On the 2nd pass, after a little boost, you can hear my wife giggle. PS ... turn that video UUUPPPPP. Why am I going slow? Cuz a state trooper just drove by like 20 seconds before dropping my wife off with the camera lol

This might be dumb question, but my buddy asked me this awhile ago. What is the whine? Obviously its air but when and where does it get created? I am honestly stumped on this one. I know a intake and a smaller pulley allows more air to go through the blow, and i know that blocking off the silencer holes makes it louder, but is it the air getting compressed in the rotors or what?

Its the sound created when the rotors or augers pass and compress the air down the length of the blower. The sound is basically produced by the friction of the compressed air rubbing against the surfaces of the rotors. Eaton has a good write up on the different sounds produced.

yeah the whine is essentially just the noise from the blower itself...like the tvs is deeper/lower than the m62

Nice runs above BUT.. Short shift second at like 6k and you will see an improvement! I learned the hard way at LACR! where i was in the 80's for 8th mph on stock tires! I usually had spin if i took first all the way out like that!
