W3RD. It's tuned, it was just done with no wideband. Time to fix it.
I'm thinking maybe Saturday Sept 1st??
I'm down for any weekend except Sept 8-9th. A retune will make all the difference in the world.
I'm running a solid 10.2 at WOT, riiiiiich.

Your car is running too rich plus the fact this Zex Plug is probably colder (too cold) than the BKR7E ? It might explain the black color.

Originaly I didn't have a wideband. We tuned it so there was no knock with a decent afr.
The hot temps don't help but what will help is a fine tune with this wideband.
BTW, Paul. What's your favorite beer?

This is a good thread, I only have 8k miles on my car so I'm sure I don't need plugs yet. However its good to know what to do when the time comes. With my mods I was told not to go with colder plugs. I'm still running the stockers. Would the car run any differantly if I change from the stockers to something else? And if it will run better can you tell me why?

Go with NGK iridiums or copper plugs. My car likes the copper NGKs.
You want to run one step colder plugs with smaller than stock pullies and supporting mods.
This pretty much explians it.
Do I need a colder spark plug? A rule of thumb is one heat range colder for every 45–100hp you increase. In identical spark plug types, the difference from one full heat range to the next is the ability to remove 70°C to 100°C from the combustion chamber. The heat range numbers used by spark plug manufacturers are not universal, so a 10 heat range in Champion is not the same as a 10 heat range in NGK or in Autolite. When making the decision to change the heat range of your plugs, it is a wise idea to make changes in 1 heat range increments, checking all your plugs for suitability during your test. Vehicle modifications during the test phase of your plugs is not recommended as this may skew your results.
