Think I need some new springs

My sportlines are rough riding even though I never trimmed bump stops.. How much better is the pedders combo with ss/tc shocks and struts

If its riding rough, id look at new struts/shocks. Springs dont really wear out.

^ Yep I'd shoot for new shocks. I'm on pedders + worn SS S/C shocks and the ride is definitely rougher than my buddy with new T/C shocks + pedders.

I'd only cut the bump stops if you can prove you're bottoming out on them. Have someone push the rear of the car up and down and see if your rear coils are binding and/or the bump stops are hitting. You have an 06 though, so new shocks are probably a good idea anyway.

If you're gonna be in there taking stuff apart, and you've got the cash to do it, I'd jump on some pedders while you're at it.

I went from Sportlines with stock SC struts and shocks to Sportlines with SS/TC struts and shocks to Pedders with SS/TC shocks and struts.

Pedders and SS/TC struts and shocks wins hands down. Much smooth than the Sportlines over bumbs. Big bumps still hit hard though and will bottom out easily. The little bumps are taken care of though. If you're willing to upgrade, it's worth it. Get rack spacers too if you have rotated mounts.

TC FE5 shocks and struts definitely improve ride comfort. They have more damping than SC units. I would cut 1/2" off each bump stop to give you a little more suspension travel. I tried leaving mine uncut and it was unbearable. I took them off a week later and cut them. Cutting them in half is a bit much (Eibach recommends this), but 1/2" is a good compromise.
