2.9 is fine. Ppl are running 2.9's with just stage 2. With stage 3, U can run a 2.9 and be perfectly safe.

I think a 2.9 would be fine. I wouldn't go any smaller than that.

yeah i've got the wideband coming... i just got the pods and aeroforce and shift light thanks to hpviper... but i just didn't wanna spend the money on a 2.99 if i could run a 2.95 or 2.90 but i guess it'll be best i don't wanna take any chances.

I'm kinda surprised many people don't have the stage 3.. alot of people have the stage 2
i mean i kno stage 3 doesn't have A/C but is it really all that important if ya got windows and a sunroof... plus it can be flopped out with a stage 2 reflashed pcm in 5min

Bump for the new question...
I was wondering if you could only spray nitrous on 93 or 100 octane mode? the reason i ask is because of the fact that i want to run 93 on meth in order to run on 100 octane mode... but i want to use nitrous so...
I wanna kno if its safe to spray nitrous while on 100 octane mode runing 93 pump gas with meth... THanks

i would just spary nitrous, generally you want to retard timing when you are spraying, you will make up anything you lose with the spray

you can spray on 91. As far as pulleys, don't go smaller than the stage 3. According to GM when you spray the 50 shot, the injectors are almost maxed out.
here read this, i'm surprised a lot of members havn't read this:

you can't run meth in the 100 octane mode, the pcm will shut it off as soon as it doesn't detect 100 octane. I tried this already, it DOESN't Work. So I switched to nitrous, and sold the meth kit.

Well, I tried it and it didn't work. When you ativate the 100octane mode, it will dis-engage if it detects knock. if it doesn't detect knock, the upshift light will stay on and you are succesfully running on a 100 octane tune.
Actually, the guys from GM Eternal were at LACR with me when I had the set-up. It doesn't work. Stage 3 if definetly worth getting, but with nitrous! I have it and damn, I love it!!! It actually hits about 19~20lbs of boost with the stock stage 3 pulley once you spray. If you get smaller pulleys, then you will definetly boost past 20lbs, lean out, screw-up your injectors and end up posting up a thread, "My Cobalt sounds like a Subaru"

ok heres my question it says the stage 3 is designed around a dry shot is it ok to use a wet system?

For one I would only run a dry shot, that is what it was designed around. PCM adds fuel to compansate for the nitrous. Yes, you can spray in 100 octane mode. FYI, do not run a smaller pulley that a Stage3 pulley, especially if spraying. Tried my 2.8 pulley on the Stage3 PCM, way slower, pulled timing!
