Throttle Body Porting
Hi my name is Megan i bought my SS about a month ago and am slowly getting around to mods. Has anybody ported their stock throttle body? I was planning on doing it when i port my blower.
Any suggestions?

Welocme to the site! A small handful of members have ported their TB I believe, but I'm not sure who it was, sorry, someone will post up useful information haha.

Welcome welcome...I'm also not too sure about the TB porting. I know a few have ported their superchargers, and there are some looking into TB swaps, but it's still in the works

really if you are just starting to mod out your ss than there is really no need to be porting anything yet. yes porting dose make some hp but inreturn do you have something in your cobalt to tune for the more air you are going to put into the engine it might make it run lean if you port to much too soon with out a tune. so if i where you i would hold off till you got more mods and a tunning program.

Hey Paul, once I get some ***** handled, I might have to come visit ya for some porting. Dude, I am soooooo feenin for exhaust, she too damn quiet and I haven't gone this long without it..lol

I have a used CA header that I will be gettin once a guy from N. Jersey gets his Vibrant. He's givin me a damn good deal. Just need a good DP w/cat and 2.5" cat-back..

if you're F/I (or plan on going that route in the future) you're better off boring instead of porting. just an FYI since i never know if you balts that say you're SS are really SS/SC...

Welcome to the site. You know, the first mod IMO is GM Stage II. If your looking to keep the factory arnity like me. Stage II is like a brand new car. I have the extended warnity though and I know alot of people who have the 36k or whatever it is go crazy after that point. Good luck, hope to hear more from you.
