I used non-oem timing/balance kits on mine back a couple months ago and had no issues I got the Sealed Power versions through Rock Auto, I looked into DNJ but couldn't find enough info to make the $20 savings worthwhile, it was $140-ish CAD for the balance set.
The only problems I ran into were on the timing set, water pump and crank cogs were for a N/A application.

Alrighty that's where I was planning on ordering from aswell. I seen them too but wasn't sure about that set aswell thanks for response did u just reuse the guide bolts or did you upgrade?

It came with the guides and bolts, didn't bother stepping up to ARP or some of the upgrade options out there since it's pretty stock. Guides and bolts were perfect fit and the chains seemed like decent quality comparing with the OEM design.

Sounds good thanks for input thinking I'm gunna go ahead and order it and the upgraded bolts. And viperoni i was thinking that but it's my dd atm any negatives to the no balance shafts are engine vibes bad. as long as it would still be reliable I'd like to the remove the extra rotating mass I'll do a bit of searching

Yea I was reading that also seems like a bit of work Im might do it over winter when I park it. I'm just doing chains because of higher km no failure, so won't be a big deal to take back apart again if I decide to go that route thanks again
