Turbo Suggestions
Okay, so ive determined im getting rid of the m62 and going turbo. I want more power and unfortunatly my power goals are out the the s/c's reach, so what i want to know is what you guys would run(within reason) i would say my hp goal would be in the 350 and up to the wheels. I would like for it to spool fairly fast, i want my mid range power lol. Ive been leaning towards the gt3071r, the only thing holding me back is it is fairly expensive. So im hoping to see what you guys think.
CLIFFS:
Ditching the s/c, i want a quick spooling turbo that holds power til redline and nets me around 350+ whp.

Lol, I don't why people say Twincharge is too much hassle. The S/C is already in the car and installed. Intake and cooling system all ready to go. Just feed turbo right into the blower. All sensor connected and good. GG.
But, you would probably be looking at a GT2876R. Turbonetics TO4E would be good as well.

well you have to drive to michigan or get them to tell you how they worked the dual boost controller set-up... which honestly cant be to hard to figure out... but with the stock intercooler restrictions iat-2's cant be the best...
and straight turbo will net the most efficient reliable power... imo

I may be going bigger. Im gonna be going to the dyno soon but i assume that I am around 320-330ish whp at about 16psi. I was looking with going to a Gt3071 and getting the hann intake manifold and converting to air-air setup. Pm me if you are interested.

Do you guys have any particular personal reason for listing/picking out the turbo?

and its a journal barring turbo...far from desirable for this guys wish list (read: quick spooling)
a 2876 will be a bit slow for what you want. a 3071 will be about dead nuts on par with it.
your trading turbine size for compressor wheel size, and needed shaft inertia doesn't give a ****.
2871 all day, every day.
it'll pop 350whp with little issue and spool quite nice.

3071R is a beautiful turbo, I have one downstairs i'm planning to put on the SAAB. The 3076 is good up to I think 500-550whp, while the 3071 operates in the 450whp range. I would take a 3071 over a 3076 any day as the 3076 takes quite a bit longer to spool up, and if you're going to have a street car I wouldn't even bother with it. The 3071 is apparently almost as quick as a stock turbo to spool (talking about the correct set up now)
3071 also comes with pretty much any option you can think of, I got mine from ATP, was about $1,440.
If you're looking to stay just under 400 at the wheels the a 2871/76 would be fine as well, that should spool fairly quick as well.
