depends on how much boost you want to push.

hell a 16g can be pushed into the 380's

a 2876 will 400-420 real nice.

yea seems like they may be the one im gonna get. i will probably not want to stay at 350 for long, lol. so this may be a good benchmark.

60 trims are weak sauce.

when you start talking 56 and 50 trim's then your starting to deal with real turbos.

T3/t4 50 trim is what I'm using. Full spin @ 3500. available 350whp. Tried tested and reliable.

I would suggest a Garrett or Turbonetics not an ebay one.

My votes for the GT3071R. Spools real fast and can crank out some serious power if you need it.

What exactly "should" a 3071r spool at on the LSJ vs the 2871/6R?

from a PM with Kennyspec he said the 2871 spools to 15lbs at around 3500rpms. the 3071 is a little larger so i would assume it would spool prolly around 3800-4000rpm, correct me if im wrong though.

the "30" series compressor wheel requires enough extra shaft inertia to slow spoll by 500-700RPM with the same 71mm turbine VS the "28" series wheel.

the difference gets larger and larger as your set up goes "wrong"

for example if your using a log manifold Vs a nice tubular unit and a non-flow directional wastegate (cause's lots-o-turbulance) VS one that is.

things like that.

also, dont forget that charge pipe routing and sizing plays a HUGE role in turbo "lag" 2.5in will spool quicker then 3in due to the lesser volume that the turbo has to fill. Also bends in the charge pipe has an effect as well. every 7deg of bend = 1 extra foot of the pipe the air "see's"
