i hope you know, though, that 2500 is JUST for the tvs. You would also need at least a 3" exhaust, cooling mods, and bigger injectors, plus a tune as well. So really the cost of the tvs build comes out to pretty much the same as a hahn stg 4 or 5.

for turbo its still alot of $$ when i went turbo about 2 months ago i got all the mods in my sig at the same time and i think i spent around 7,700 or a lil more.....it hurts to do it the right way, plus i still dr's, meth, 2-step and im done...........

oh i also tapped the oil pan. the oil solution from hahn.....i dont trust, it works but for how long...

Exactly you need to do what you need to do to get the performance you want.

you cant run it unless you have all the components, 1-4 is if you have all the other parts already. save and get minimum stage 4 or 5 for the full kit, if its too much you can put a kit together yourself for around 3k AND! like i did you can sell your sc setup. i sold mine for 1k.

I see. Ok I'll try to do my own then. The level 4 is like 4000 I think.

Turbo manifold from either vulcan, RD Fabs, whomever (hit up OTTP)
Intake manifold from HAHN, vulcan, or RD fabs (hit up OTTP)
Turbo downpipe
Charge pipes you can make from parts from EBAY
Couplers, Tbolts
Intake either from tubing from EBAY and a filter!

Then oil lines, and misc. stuff... and custom tune.

Don't forget colder plugs, and most likely a clutch!
Pretty much get all this stuff?

pretty much. The hahn stage kits are not traditional stage kits in the sense that they are based on the horse power ratings like other kits. Their stage kits are dependent on the components you already have compared to what you still need. The level 1 kit is just the oil lines, turbo, and turbo manifold. That's the very basic kit, and in itself is incomplete.

The main reason hahn sells their kits that way is because most people don't want to pay an arm and a leg for parts that are rated for horse power they never plan on seeing. For example, the hahn intercooler is rated for hp numbers of up to 600 whp. Some people don't ever want to see that high of a hp, so they prefer an intercooler that's rated for around 300-350 or so.

you can always just be on the lookout for hahn parts being sold by people on the forums. That's how I pieced my kit together, and so far everything is coming out to less than 2k. And I still need the intercooler and intake manifold.

Mine is the 2.2 cobalt Garrett turbo kit with modified piping to fit, so there's another option too

and it's one of the few that put down more torque than hp

dude no offense, but if your going to do a DIY turbo swap, you need to start researching everything. also might wanna get familiar with whats under the hood of your car, you will spend ample time there.

come on jimbo don't be mr. reality here... these DIY turbo builds for noobs turn into interesting reads once they start buying parts and realize they had no idea how complex it is instead of buying a full kit and having someone do it for them
