Tvs
I have always thought it would be great to one day get the tvs supercharger. But I was thinking. for 2300 bucks is it worth it? I imagine an easy 50 whp w/o meth but thats not exactly a small chunk of change. Please share Opinions...especially members with the tvs setup

It depends on your mods, tune, and the pulley you run. And the total price shipped is 2800.
On an essentially stock ss/sc, it lays down like 280-290whp (3.1 pulley), and on a full bolt on with a good tune, like 320whp(2.75pulley), and with meth and what not, 350whp.

That's gonna be a toss up with the turbo and the twincharge.
But hopefully, the Killer Chiller will help the TVS inflate it's numbers so that turbo won't be winning anymore.
Keep in mind though, Superchargers have more USABLE power.

yes it was on street tires and not pretty i could not shift the car becuase the clutch was acting up and i ended up breaking my roll pin and know the shifter is all loose. But it trapped 88 in the 1/8th

depends on pulley sizing, i would suggest full exhuast, 60's, 3" intake, meth, i dont want to say a few of the other things becuase i may prove them wrong becuase my setup has changed.

so anything smaller than say, a 3.0 pulley you should convert? Just trying to get a chunk of info that way I can see what I may need to change if I do the swap. I'll be getting some 60's soon and a 2.7 on an M62 with a pretty nice tune, plus the other mods in my sig.

The TVS is a good upgrade overall. Not going to get you 500+hp, but it makes more useable power at cooler temps than the eaton ever will. I had a ported + 2.6" and am making 50+hp over that with cooler intake temps and I haven't even touched meth yet. I say it's a tradeoff. If you want a simple bolt on upgrade for the M62 without routing intercooler piping, running oil lines, different header, different intake; then the TVS is perfect. It's a rather painless and easy install. For a power goal of around 350 it will do you well IF you also put the cooling mods and precision tuning into it as well
Plus it sits so attractively in the engine bay
